Today I bring you the first pattern of “Crafteando, que es gerundio”. It is simple but cute, and it can decorate your Christmas tree. I introduce you to Mr. Snowman, a cold and smart gentleman with a warm heart (you’ll find the pattern in English at the end of this post).
In order to create your own Mr. Snowman you will need:
- 3mm crocher hook
- White and orange acrylic yarn
- 6mm safety eyes
- Drops Cotton Viscose yarn, num. 29
- Tapestry needle
- Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
.
rd: round

inc: increase (2sc in the same stitch)
dec: decrease (2 single crochet together)
sl st: slide stitch
bl: back loops (we will crochet taking the back loop of the stitch)

(…): stitches you should have at the end of the round
Note: This pattern is made in continuous rounds. Do not chain and turn at the end of each row, unless it is specified. I recommend using a row counter
Head and Body
As I hate sewing, the head and the body form a single piece. We will start from the top of the head and we will crochet all the way down to the bottom of the figure.

Assembly:
-Sew the hat and the nose to the snowman’s head. If you want, you can stuff the hat a little.
– With some Drops yarn, make a loop and sew it to the top of the head. If you don’t want to hang it, you can skip this step.
-Sew the long piece of the bow tie to the neck, leaving the seam in the front, so the bow will cover it.
– With some Drops yarn, make a tight knot around the rectangle of the bow and sew it on the long piece.
– Embroider 3 buttons using the same Drops yarn.
And that’s it! I hope you like this tutorial and that Mr. Snowman ends up decorating many homes at Christmas. I’ll come back soon with more patterns!
PS: Now you can also complete the Snow family with Lady Snow and Baby Snowflake.
